Commercial Turf

How do you plan turf for high-traffic commercial areas?

High-traffic turf planning starts with the expected use: footfall, carts, pets, events, furniture, deliveries, and cleaning. Product selection, base preparation, seam placement, and maintenance access should all reflect that use.

A decorative turf strip and a heavily used amenity lawn should not be specified the same way. High-traffic zones may need more resilient fibers, stronger backing, thoughtful seam placement, edge protection, and a maintenance plan that includes periodic grooming.

Drainage and accessibility are essential. Water should not cross primary walkways, create slippery transitions, or compromise nearby building systems. The finished design should also keep utilities, drains, and landscape-maintenance access in mind.

Before committing, document how the area will be used over a typical week and during peak events. That information helps LawnLogic build a commercial turf recommendation that supports the property’s real operational needs.
