Is artificial turf good for dogs?

Artificial turf can work well for dogs when the system is designed for pet use, particularly with dependable drainage, durable fibers, a suitable infill choice, and a realistic cleaning routine.

A pet-friendly turf installation is more than a turf label. The base and backing must move liquids efficiently, and the surface should be easy to rinse and brush. Design also matters: a dedicated pet zone may be planned differently than a showpiece front lawn.

Pet owners should expect routine care, including prompt solid-waste removal, periodic rinsing, and targeted odor treatment if needed. No surface is maintenance-free when it is used by animals every day.

During a consultation, tell the designer how many pets use the area, their size, their habits, and where they spend time. That helps LawnLogic recommend a material, drainage plan, and maintenance approach appropriate to the household.
